Overview

About BPC-157.

BPC-157 ('Body Protection Compound') is a 15-amino-acid synthetic peptide derived from a fragment of human gastric juice protein. It is one of the most extensively studied peptides in preclinical tissue-repair literature.

Animal studies consistently show acceleration of tendon, ligament, muscle, gut and vascular healing across many injury models. Human clinical trials are limited but accumulating; magistral use is supported primarily by preclinical evidence and substantial clinical experience.

Mechanism of action

BPC-157 appears to act through several converging pathways: upregulation of VEGFR2 and growth-factor receptors (driving angiogenesis), modulation of the nitric-oxide pathway (improving microcirculation), and direct stabilisation of focal adhesions during cell migration in injured tissue.

Posology · for information only

Subcutaneous injection, 250–500 mcg, 1–2 times per day. Cycles typically 4–8 weeks per injury. Local injection close to the injury site is preferred when anatomically appropriate.
